I’ve been thinking about starting this for a very long time, and I already regret not beginning earlier. But as the saying goes, “It’s never too late,” or “The best time to start was yesterday; the second-best time is now!” So here I am, finally taking the leap.
To be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m just figuring it out as I go. Creating a website, writing a blog—it all felt overwhelming at first. Even using WordPress felt like a headache, and I almost gave up before I even started, worrying that this would turn out ridiculous or pointless. But I reminded myself: this isn’t about perfection. It’s about trying, learning, and enjoying the process. So let´s see how it goes!

Why am I doing this?
This website is my little project—a space to share my travels, stories, and memories. Over the years, I’ve received so many questions and requests for recommendations from family, friends, and even acquaintances. I thought, why not put it all in one place? If this website helps even one person plan their trip, find inspiration, or learn something useful, it will have been worth it.
It’s also a way to preserve my memories. Sometimes I forget the places I’ve visited or how I managed certain trips. People ask me questions like, “How did you manage your budget?” or “What vaccinations did you get?” and I realize I’ve forgotten some of the details. This blog will serve as an online diary—a place to capture my recent trips, tips, and experiences so I can always look back on them.
Why « Living for Memories »?
It might sound cliché, but I believe it’s true. The moments we share with family, friends, strangers—whether while traveling or in everyday life—are what matter most. As Jack Kerouac said, “You won’t remember the time you spent working in an office.” And as I see it, at the end of your life, you won’t be remembered for the work you did but for how you made people feel.
This website is my way of celebrating life—the joy, gratitude, happiness, and adventure that come with creating memories. It’s about collecting stories, embracing the unknown, and treasuring the experiences that shape who we are.
THANK YOU!
I want to express my gratitude to those who encouraged and supported me in this endeavor. Thu, I can’t thank you enough for your 1.5-hour video call that gave me clarity when I was panicking. Becky, thank you for reviewing my first blog. Anika, Fanny, Priyanka and Estelle, your support means the world to me. To everyone else who has helped along the way—you know who you are—thank you!

I hope you’ll enjoy reading and learn new things and find them interesting. I hope that you you will find something here that inspires you, makes you smile, or react in any way or sparks an idea for your own adventures.
